Caro / Jeunet, exhibition

07/09/2017 - 31/07/2018

Imaginary and dreamlike.

Welcoming the Caro/Jeunet duo at the Halle Saint Pierre is a matter of course. Of course, there is Montmartre, inseparable from the sentimental peregrinations of Amélie Poulain, and Alien, the biomechanical creature of the cartoonist H.R. Giger, to whom the Halle devoted a retrospective in 2005.
There are also emblematic artists of the Halle Saint Pierre that Jeunet discovered during the programming, such as Gilbert Peyre and his fairground aesthetics, Ronan-Jim Sevellec and his miniature curiosity cabinets with their faded elegance, or even Jéphan de Villiers and his little imaginary people nostalgic for lost civilizations.
Their works and the "fetish" objects from the films of the two directors form a single world that opens up new avenues to the imagination.
Why don't you enter this world too?
