Parsifal, opera by Wagner

27/04/2018 - 23/05/2018

The quest for musical riches.

Prepare to attend a "sacred scenic festival." It was thus that Wagner described his last masterpiece, Parsifal. A name that may sound strange but it is clear that it can be difficult to describe this opera. It is indeed a kind of medieval epic to which Wagner adds metaphysical dreams, esoteric combats and spiritual references.
The complexity of the libretto, which features Parsifal and the quest for the Holy Grail, does not detract from the majesty of the music. From the multiplicity of motifs in the prelude to the poetic harmony that closes the work, it's a rich musical panoply that unfolds from start to finish in this fascinating work.
