Picasso: Masterpieces!, exhibition

04/09/2018 - 13/01/2019

The painter and the art critics.

Each exhibition dedicated to Pablo Picasso is exceptional, because of the special place that the painter occupies in the collective mind almost half a century after his death. However, this new exhibition at the Picasso Museum in Paris is even more extraordinary in that it includes works which have never before been presented to the public in Paris.
Questioning the notion of a masterpiece, the exhibition dwells on the links between the artist and art critics. Alongside the paintings are the magazines and articles that contributed to forging the legend of certain paintings.
