Turbulence in the Balkans, exhibition

07/09/2017 - 31/07/2018

New worlds, new languages.

The artistic scene of the Balkans reveals its diverse and complex alternative territories. Guardians of the great heritage of popular art, pop culture icons, explorers of archaic languages or magicians of raw materials, all these artists invent singular worlds shaped as much by a violent History as by the excessive feelings and instincts that inflame their relationship with the world. Turbulence is the metaphor of these intimate experiences put into images, emotions and thoughts. This exhibition highlights the existential need of these artists to reflect on the world by poetizing it, to make a language resonate that would no longer makes sense.
