Le Père Lachaise is not just the most famous cemetery in Paris, but it's also a poetic, charming spot, perfect for daydreaming and enjoying a quiet walk. This cemetery is where art and nature combine, as many great figures who have shaped Western cultural history, and the cultural history of Paris in particular, are buried here.
To name but a few, here you can find the graves of Chopin, Rossini, Proust, Oscar Wilde, Colette and more recently Jim Morrison.
