Stage 21 of the Tour, finish in Paris Champs-Elysées, cycling
27/07/2018 - 27/07/2018
Having crossed Europe in 2017, the 2018 Tour de France won’t set foot outside France this year. After starting from Ile de Noirmoutier, the 176 racers of the Tour de France will compete in several stages in the West of France before reaching the North. After this first week, the cyclists take in the Alps, including Alpe-D'Huez, which is back on the route, the Cevennes and the Pyrenees, before the traditional final stage towards the Champs-Elysées in Paris.
One of the attractions of this Tour is the time trial in the heart of hilly Basque Country during the penultimate stage. The finish will take place in the city of peppers, Espelette.
While Chris Froome, Alejandro Valverde and Nairo Quintana seem to be well in the race for the yellow jersey, we also need to consider the French riders Romain Bardet and Warren Barguil, respectively 3rd and 10th at the last Tour de France.
